The price for these donated superpowers is that Lizzy and the rest of the superhero group are thrust into a space opera involving an approaching starship armada of nefarious all-conquering alien invaders and need to use their superpowers in an attempt to defeat an approaching starship armada of nefarious all-conquering alien invaders, invaders who intend to decimate the human race as they have done to every alien race they have so far come across.

Moreover, amid the alien perilousness and superheroeness of it all, will Regency pride and prejudice still rear its ugly head, and will Lizzy and her four sisters find love despite their perilous mission and the Equalisers’ imposed severe limitations on their ability to form loving relationships?

There are several direct quotes from P&P, and for the first part of the book, it has the same scenarios as P&P but with a few extra phrases in. Once the heroes head to space it all drastically changes. I don’t want to give too much away, but oh my word sci-fi aside, some of the things that happen between the characters are shocking and unforeseen. I really enjoyed this book, and couldn’t put it down. I was a little disappointed that some of the ending isn’t the same as in P&P, as I’d hoped that this story was written in such a way that possibly this happened in that world and could be tied into the story, but it was still a very good story. 10/10 I’d heartedly recommend.”
